World Child Abuse Prevention Day becomes World Child Abuse Prevention Week and runs from July 28 to August 5, 2018. This year, Cédrika Provencher Foundation partners with the League of Heroes and its event Cosplay Fest , organized by Mr. Didier Mercadal, to promote the importance of prevention for the child safety. Being better informed and educated on the subject makes it possible to adopt safer attitudes and thus to better protect oneself, and also allows to change mentalities with young people in order to favor a better society for the next generations. The Cosplay Fest is a free event for the whole family, from July 27 to 29 in downtown Trois-Rivières. The Cédrika Provencher Foundation team is present on the site, near the main stage set up at the Port Park opposite Des Forges Street, Sunday, July 29 2018, for children’s day. A special event is organized by Fondation Cédrika Provencher, on the stage, just after the general parade of heroes, around 2:15 pm. For this occasion, Mr. Henri Provencher, president, and his team invite the public to come together to make the formation of a human chain on a large scale. It is a simple and important gesture to demonstrate, symbolically, the solidarity and vigilance that must coexist between children and adults to counter the traps of predators.
All day Sunday: Iron Man experience; a costume exhibition; Ace Ventura to the animation; a 501 th Star Wars Legion and Heroes League photo booth; Batman and his Batmobile; a costume manufacturing workshop; a show of princesses in song and many other surprises. The Fondation Cédrika Provencher team is very pleased with this collaboration with the League of Heroes , fun and colorful, which will remind the importance of the prevention for the safety of the children throughout the year during their activities.
